Our town council has now used our information to educate their employees about idling and have placed a more formalized version of our informational postcard in municipal vehicles. Our EcoTeam at Leamington DSS created these postcards to distribute to parents idling in front of schools and customers in front of businesses. It worked very well - we focused on health, financial and climate impacts. Our elementary schools used them too. Our EcoTeam presented this PowerPoint at Leamington Town Council in January 2017. They were astonished at some of the research. The students also talked about their data collection methods and results (found that 51% of cars in front of local schools are idling and average idling time is 22 minutes) and the impact their information campaign (using postcards I uploaded).
