The year of 2012, Ontario experienced the worst drought that we have ever seen in decades. It effected many industries and ecosystems, the most impacted industry being farming. Corn especially. It was not able to pollinate correctly effecting the growth process. Lake levels in local and surrounding areas were shown to have lowered water levels as well.

Changes in weather patterns can cause droughts in cartain areas.
What is the main cause of these droughts? what can humans do to help?
Is there anything corn farmers can do if they know climate change will bring more droughts?
