Solar Energy

Environment   Apr 12, 2016 by Rebecca

The sun provides a tremendous resource for generating clean and sustainable electricity without toxic pollution or global warming emissions.

Solar energy, such as solar panels, help reduce global warming drastically. The production of solar energy in cities is a good option to diminish our dependency on fossil fuels and is a good way to mitigate global warming by lowering the emission of greenhouse gases.

On a much larger scale, solar thermal power plants use various techniques to concentrate the sun's energy as a heat source. The heat is then used to boil water to drive a steam turbine that generates electricity supplying electricity for thousands of people.

This is really awesome! Very interesting and could really open great opportunities for cities, and even rural areas to become more green!
