The apparel industry accounts for 10% of global carbon emission and remains the second largest pollute, second only to oil. Some fashionistas are looking seriously at the industry’s role in environmental pollution and climate change

more than 150 billion garments are produced, enough to produce 20 new garments to every person on the planet, each year.
