Clear cutting is not only just a negative to the environment it does have some positives, when it can benefit some environments or it doesn't have an effect on some environments which in turn can also revive a dying niche. Can you be more specific with your question, maybe directed to the negatives of clear cutting?

Maybe to stop clear cutting, we can try to use some more advanced farming techniques like hybrid crops which will enable us to get more food production with lesser land.

I find your question very interesting, and I completely agree that we must prevent the clear cutting of forests. I am researching the potential health impacts of climate change on the citizens of Toronto. Our topics are directly related because the more trees we clear cut the worse the air quality gets which increases the risks of lung cancer in humans.

I found this link that might help you with your research

I look forward to seeing what interesting information you can find, and will definitely come back to read your next post! :) #Climate150

    Hello Paige,

I think it depends on what the purpose of what the clear cutting is for. Sometimes, it is for agricultural purposes such as farming.

    Hi Paige + team,

I'm excited to read the follow-up to your question on how we are going to put a halt to clear cutting!
