Canadian Geese and Climate Change (#2)

Environment   Apr 10, 2016 by Jackson Fisher

Through my research I have discovered that Canadian geese will be effected a lot by the climate change. The Geese are effected by the rise in temperature because they will have to breed earlier to ensure the eggs hatch with the proper seasonal requirements. they are also effected because with the climate changing the diversity of species will decrease which results in less suitable habitats for the geese. It also means less habitable areas for other animals which results in competition to survive and the geese wouldn't do well in those situations. I used many sources for my research including: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_goose, http://www.eoearth.org/view/article/151241/, https://www.ec.gc.ca/mbc-com/default.asp?lang=en&n=98A918B1-, http://cool.greenlearning.ca/ and http://mvc.on.ca/.

Great research, but I would really like to know if there are any actions we can take personally, or as a province to reduce the effects of climate change on geese. Are there any specific numbers as to how many geese are affected?

I was very interested in your paragraph because I wasn't informed that climate change would effect the geese that much, and how climate change effects there hatching of there Eggs. thank you for sharing your information and your inquiry answer with me..
