Apples delicious, nutritious, and aid health! 

Apples provide us with many health benefits. Some of these health benefits apples provide include improved digestion, heart disease, constipation, anemia, diabetes, prevention of stomach disorders, liver disorders, gallstones, rheumatism, a variety of cancers, eye disorders, and gout. Apples also help to improve weakness and provides relief from dysentery. Additionally, apples have the ability to prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Finally, apples aid in dental care and skin care.

As Canadians, we enjoy supporting local businesses such as our local apple farmers. But, climate change is making this difficult. Climate change is impacting the apple harvest and farmers. This year, in our local area, an apple orchard was unable to open due to the fact that no apples were produced! Climate change is negatively impacting our economy and apples. Furthermore, it can impact our health, we may need to find other foods that will aid our health just as apples do if we want to continue supporting local businesses.
