How can we support buying local to a larger extentent on Manitoulin?

We can support buying locally on the island by trying to do it ourselves.It's a small that ng to do but if enough people do it we will be able to encourage local producers. Through this program we are participating in we can encourage the Ontario government to help remove some of the barriers that prevent a lot of local food production and that would be good as it reduces carbon emissions. We should really try to get local restaurants and food services to buy locally as again it would encourage and help local producers grow which would lead to more local food production.
