The average annual temperatures have rose over the last 60 years and they will continue to rise. With future warming, it will be joining many other changes, such as rain, snow and ice. This will also come with the risk of extreme weather events such as heat waves, heavy rainfalls, flooding and dry spells and droughts. Increased frequency and intensity of droughts and violent storms will have a big affect on agriculture. Also violent rainfall storms are expected to occur more frequently. With all these extreme rainfall storms, soil erosion will start to occur. With increased temperatures, that will mean increased crop pest and disease. Climate change means that the agriculture season will be longer, which may be a positive to some people, but there are lots of negatives about that.
