Blog #2: How will our community change in respect to using more solar energy?

Technology   Apr 21, 2016 by Serena

Many people know about the ongoing effects of climate change, for example, the floods and destruction, but there are many little ways that we can do to help prevent climate change from continuing. The main thing that we can do is becoming more involved in the community. For example, there are many petitions to help prevent climate change involving carbon emission pricing that need support. We can even start with smaller things like turning off the lights when you leave a room or walking instead of using a car. Some people even buy solar panels to acquire energy. Many more people are starting to install solar panels and we should continue to take their example. How will our community change in respect to using more solar energy?

For many people, solar panels are not ideal because they are very expensive, but what if we could have solar panels for free? Grasshopper is known for their free solar program. Grasshopper installs solar panels on your roof for free and you gain many benefits, for example, the solar panels increase the value of your house, you earn money for the use of your roof, they protect your roof, and you help the environment in the process! If many more people in our community took advantage of this program, we could help prevent further climate change. Solar energy is not only sustainable, but it is renewable as well. They require little to no maintenance after being set up, they make no noise and solar power plants do not release any carbon emissions! Our community will have cleaner air and our environment will be overall healthier. The environment wins and we win.

They give it for free? But where do they get all the money that they are spending for the solar panels? It's not always they give it for free right? Nice information though. Just focus more on the effect it's not like you're advertising a program. But that's the way I see it though. Don't take it as the negative way. Good job. Just a little bit more info and edit.
