Fast fashion has a big impact on the environment because the clothes are cheap it easy to throw away more than 82 pounds of waste ends up in landfill adding up to more than 11 million tons of textile waste because it a no biodegradables meaning it sits in landfills for 200 years while releasing harmful gases into the air. The fashion industry has rises production for demands for more man-made fibers especially polyester has nearly doubled in the last 15 years. The manufacture of polyester and other fabrics needs a lot of energy processing requirement of crude oil and releasing emissions including volatile organic compounds, particulate matter, and acid gasses such as hydrogen chloride which cause aggravate respiratory disease and air pollution. Volatile monomers and by-product of polyester production are releasing in waste water from polyester manufacturers plants. The Epa is under Resource Conservation and Recovery Act considers many textile manufacturing facilities to be hazardous waste generator. In the US used all use of pesticides on quarter  cotton crops making the largest export of  cotton in the world because they use so much pesticides they use so much issue with the environmental and health corner.
