Climate Change and Agriculture Blog #1

Environment   Apr 10, 2016 by Holly Houston

We are being asked to discover how climate is predicted to change in the Mississippi watershed. The climate is predicted to get warmer and expected to have hot, high temperature summers. But the winters are expected to be damper due to higher precipitation. The average temperature is expected to increase by 3.5 degrees 65 years. This will affect agriculture by causing heat stress on the animals but it will also increase the drowning season by 15 days. This is an important task to be researching because it challenges us to research how climate change is going to affect us in the future and how we can change our ways to stop or control climate change.
