How does climate change affect crops? This is an increasing topic of discussion within our community, and with farming being so popular in our community, we decided to research how climate change is affecting crops. Over the past decade we have experienced some extreme weather events that have limited crop production. For example, will we experience the drought we had in 2012 more frequently in the future, and will we have the flooding we had in some areas of Ontario more frequently? These questions are the reason why we did our project on the affect climate change has on crops.
