Agriculture and Climate Change: A Diverse Topic

Environment   Apr 11, 2016 by Delanie

The agricultural industry is one of the largest global contributors to climate change.  However, it's interesting to note that climate change also has huge impacts on the agricultural industry.  Both of these issues combined highlight how important it is that our provincial government implements realistic changes in order to address both of these issues!  What plans of action would you suggest to Premier Wynne to address both the affects that the agricultural industry has on climate change and the affects of climate change on the agricultural industry?

I totally agreed with your statement,  the provincial government needs to change in order to address climate change and it impacts  on the agricultural industry in order to change.

Wouldn't you say factories are a larger contribution to climate change? and what aspects of farming are you saying contribute most to climate change?

How is the agricultural industry one of the largest global contributors to climate change? The only thing we as a group can think of is farm equipment releasing harmful emissions into the air. What other things in the agricultural industry is harmful to our environment. Great information though!!

There are many different questions and concerns that need to be addressed. It would be good to hold a conference or meeting of sorts with farmers in different areas to see what ideas or concerns they have, quite possibly they could address the questions that others have and vice versa.
