Inquiry Findings

Health   Apr 12, 2016 by Rhys, Katie, and Sheridan

In order to find our information, we went to a variety of different websites; such as the Public Health Agency of Canada, Climate Ontario, Health Canada, and the David Suzuki Foundation. As well, we interviewed many different people who are educated in this area. We found out that climate change is decreasing human health in and around our area in multiple ways. We have learned that climate change is mainly decreasing human health by allowing for further spreading of infectious diseases, creating extreme weather events, raising the temperature, and decreasing air quality, to name a few. We have reached the conclusion that climate change is, in fact, decreasing human health, much like our inquiry question is asking, and will continue to decrease human health and wellbeing as time continues.

Its interesting how much of an impact climate change can have on our health. While it makes sense, it is something I have never given any real consideration to. I agree with Patrick- it should be talked about more, if only because it is a good way to get people interested in climate change and trying to reverse it.

The fact that climate change affects human health is something that needs to be talked about more in my opinion because it's very important

Going directly to the source for information is great. What people did you interview?
