How is climate change affecting recreation in northwestern Ontario?

The process we went through to reach our question was thinking about things that we enjoyed and we all enjoyed recreational activities and are concerned about how they can be effected so we wanted to look deeper into it. This is a great question because a lot of businesses are built around the idea of recreational activities. If climate change continues many businesses will be forced to close.

In our studies we found out that recreation in Ontario is being severely effected and that the winter activities will take the hardest toll. With warmer winters and less precipitation, activities such as skiing and snowboarding will struggle. Our information was gathered from multiple websites and from our wonderful guest speakers Erin Moir, Eric Searle.

I also agree that winter is being severely affected because this year,we couldn't go on the ice till around February when past years we were on at the start of January.

I think that recreational activities could really be affected. We didn't really look at this but it would affect us too as we have a lot of winter recreation activities as well
