Climate Change and its Effects on the Great Lakes and Thames River

Environment   Apr 22, 2016 by Connor G

Climate change is a real problem. It will continue to pose a serious problem unless people start taking responsibility for the actions that are currently taking place. I am focusing on water level issues in conjunction with climate change. If we do not change, more water managing infrastructure will need to be implemented and maintained. This is an expensive but useful solution. We need to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that large factories produce, so warmer weather will not create larger amounts of precipitation. Consumers need to be persuaded into making Eco-friendly purchases that will benefit the climate and water levels overall. We could also invest in more weather and river tracking system to help keep the public well informed about specific fluctuations in the rivers and lakes.
