Climate change affecting the great lakes and rivers

Apr 11, 2016 by Mike Ververidis

The great lakes of canada are the largest source of fresh water in the world and we cannot take them for granted and if neglected it will affect fresh water and even food supply. %45 of quebec residents take their water from the St Lawrence river which is streamed to lake Ontario. We need to preserve our fresh water and protect it from climate change. Lake levels are expected to decline in both inland lakes and Ontario's four Great Lakes, as more moisture evaporates due to warmer temperatures and less ice cover.
