Benefits of local food

Some of the benefits of local food production is that when people buy it, it boosts the local economy and their money doesn't go towards a big corporation,it stays in the community and contributes to small businesses.It also saves a lot of co2 emissions from going into the air because the food doesn't need to travel as far.The animals at local farms are well cared for and in a small farm,if there is only a small amount of livestock diseases will not spread as fast as in a large farm with a lot of livestock.
